Understanding Branch Liquidity

Liquidity refers to the funds and digital assets available to support transactions.

Depending on the services enabled for your Branch, liquidity may include physical cash, supported cryptocurrencies or access to settlement arrangements within the participating network.

Why is liquidity important?

Liquidity allows your Branch to process supported customer transactions, including buying and selling crypto and providing applicable payout services.

For example:

  • When your Branch purchases crypto from a customer, sufficient cash must be available to complete the agreed payout.
  • When your Branch sells crypto to a customer, the required cryptocurrency must be available to complete the transaction.
  • For supported cross-border transactions, the applicable settlement and payout arrangements must be available.

Managing liquidity

Liquidity management responsibilities depend on your Corporate account's operational structure and the arrangements established with participating service providers.

Always verify that the required funds or digital assets are available before committing to a transaction.

If your Branch experiences liquidity shortages or cannot complete a transaction, contact your Branch Manager or Corporate administrator.
